Sourced via ProtonCharging Sony Pictures’ new senior vice president of global consumer products, Mark Caplan, has revealed a range of products coming up in the next couple years and among the announcements was the exciting news that they have signed a deal with Mattel to be the global master toy licensee for next year’s Ghostbusters reboot. |
Among the items include a new range of 6-inch figures (based on both the new and classic movies), an Ecto 1 that will be big enough to house said figures, a new board game and..... a replica proton pack!
Our previous article covering this year's Brand Licensing Event revealed that they have been trying to produce replicas of the classic 1980s Proton Packs, however they had found that they would currently have been cost prohibitive. However looking at companies to manufacture replicas of the reboot's Proton Packs. This leads us at the UKGB with very little doubt that Mattel's planned replica will be based on the 2016 pack.
We cannot wait to see more news on these and other new Ghostbuster merchandise coming out!
